Privacy and notifications
New recipe notifications
Notifications are optional. Browser permission is requested only after you click “Enable notifications”. Declining does not prevent you from reading recipes. We do not ask for your name, phone number or email to subscribe this browser.
When enabled, Cloudflare D1 stores the technical subscription address (endpoint), encryption keys, your selected language and a management token. These records are used to send new recipe alerts in your chosen language and to let you unsubscribe.
Delivery uses your browser vendor’s push service, such as Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft. That service may process delivery data under its own policy. Message content is encrypted using the Web Push protocol. Your browser and operating system control notification display and may delay or prevent delivery.
To unsubscribe, use “New recipe notifications” in the footer and select “Turn off notifications”. This removes your subscription from the site database. You can also revoke permission in browser settings. Subscriptions reported as expired by the push service are removed during delivery; subscriptions with no update or successful delivery for 180 days are also removed.
We do not sell subscriptions or use them for advertising. This browser stores invitation postponement, your opt-out preference and the management token locally. “Not now” postpones the invitation for seven days; the footer button lets you reopen it.
Local preferences
The site also uses browser local storage for your theme, favorite recipes and ratings. These preferences stay in this browser and can be cleared through its site-data settings.
